After falling in love with Cornwall's beautiful coastline and countryside, Neil and Karen Standen decided to make Cornwall their permanent home in the year 2000. Standen Opticians was set up later on that year and has been a great success ever since. Karen has 25 years experience as an Optometrist, and Neil has been a Dispensing Optician for almost 30 years now. Between them, the couple have a vast amount of experience in their field, a caring outlook and a lot of passion for what they do. Living in Cornwall has given Neil the opportunity to pursue his love of the great outdoors, and for Karen, it reminds her of her beloved native Northern Ireland. They have settled happily and have two wonderful boys.
